Has anyone used Netspend Allcess prepaid Credit cards?

by Tim on December 4, 2009

Is it better or about the same as a Western Union prepaid Visa/Master Card Credit Card? Is there a better prepaid credit card with lower fees?

  • Hello.
Netspend prepaid cards are very similar to the Western Union prepaid Visa/ MasterCard, but each card has it's own advantage depending on who you are. The Western Union card is good for very light casual use, but it does not provide any special card features, such as SMS text alerts or credit builder. The Netspend card is good for more regular use; however, I would actually suggest the AccountNow (http://www.accountnow.com) card if you were planning to use the card like a checking account.
The good thing about the AccountNow card is that you can use it to borrow money, build your credit and they provide a number of card benefits. There is even a personal finance resource center complete with a ton of free and useful money information.
If you want to find out more about AccountNow and how they compare to both Netspend and Western Union check out the following sites: http://www.accountnow.com/compare/western-union... and http://www.accountnow.com/compare/netspend.aspx
